On the the the the 15th March 2020 the the the the Ministry of of Education an- nounced that schools would be closed to curb the spread of COVID-19 As schools shut their doors that day nobody was certain when learning would resume A new challenge set in in in fin in - finding ways to ensure that children could still receive an education outside of the classroom setup Technology-mediated learning was quickly taken up by many as as schools be- gan offering classes via online platforms such as as as Zoom and Google Class- room But this mode of learning led to inequity as it it it locked out learners situ- ated in areas with with connectivity challenges as as as well as as as those without access to digital devices 22
